"Design is the cornerstone of a world where humans, technology, products, and services seamlessly interact, creating meaningful and harmonious experiences."

I’m a multidisciplinary designer with a decade of experience in Guadalajara, Mexico, blending engineering, industrial design, and user experience to create innovative solutions.

My academic journey spans multiple disciplines, beginning with a degree in engineering and an Industrial Design specialization from Universidad Europea de Madrid. I then earned a Master’s in Industrial Design and Product Innovation from Tecnológico de Monterrey, followed by a PhD in Material Sciences, where my thesis explored healthcare solutions through the lens of user experience.

Beyond academia, I’ve honed my expertise in graphic design and UI/UX at the California Institute of the Arts, specialized in UX Research at the University of Michigan, and deepened my knowledge in UX & Interaction Design at the Interaction Design Foundation. My approach is rooted in the belief that true innovation emerges from diverse perspectives and cross-disciplinary thinking.

My work has been recognized with prestigious awards, including Best Master’s Thesis at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Best PhD Thesis by the Royal Academy of Engineering (awarded jointly by the academies of Mexico and Spain), and First Place in the Diseña México National Award 2022. I’m also passionate about sharing my insights on experience design and education, regularly presenting my research at international conferences.

With a decade of experience as a Product Design Teacher, I have shaped the next generation of designers by developing and delivering comprehensive curricula that span conceptualization, prototyping, user testing, and iteration. Beyond teaching theory and practice, I have mentored students through real-world projects, collaborated with industry professionals to provide networking opportunities, and stayed at the forefront of design trends to ensure my teaching remains relevant.

From 2021 to 2024, as Design Director, I have integrated my passion for UX design into my teaching, bridging the gap between theory and practice by creating user-centered learning experiences that emphasize research, usability testing, and iterative design. This dual expertise has allowed me to design intuitive interfaces, enhance user interactions, and provide a holistic approach to design education, equipping students with the skills to thrive in the evolving field of user experience.
